Project title: Empower children’s and stakeholders to access essential child social services through children and community involvement at 4 towns and 12 elementary schools in Tigray Region (Alamta ,Adigrate , Shire and Mekelle ) Goal To promote child rights introducing accountability tools and community involvement as an innovative social accountability mechanism, to access the child social services at 12 kebelles and 4 towns of Tigray region Specific objectives Objectives 1: By 2021, civil society, Children and Communities ensure access to essential social services to the most vulnerable children in the project areas Objective 2: By the end of 2021, child focused policies, strategies, and information systems supporting children’s rights (to adequate health, equal opportunity to quality education, and protection) are in place at all levels |
Outputs 1: Child centered social accountability groups are established and strengthened to promote equitable access to quality basic social services for the most vulnerable children Outputs 2: Organizational capabilities, system and performance of CSO partners working on the child development enhanced to integrate participation, accountability, non-discrimination, transparency, and gender in their programs to be able to engage in child rights work Out put4: Civil society actors influence sector Bureaus and offices at regional, woreda and kebelle level mainstreamed children's best interests into their plans Output 3: Child parliaments/child led initiatives are strengthened at School levels to monitor and report on child rights and implementation of basic social services for duty bearers to take actions |
Capacity building: Participation of key stakeholders ,children to lead or involve in all process of project at planning ,implementation and follow-up and evaluation of the project Using the social accountability tools of community score card as main instrument to produce mutual agreed reform agenda to improve children’s social service Institutionalization the child right governance issue to the local government effort Collaboration with key stakeholders as a main strategy to involve the community to improve the child service delivery
