General Background
Tigray Youth Association (TYA) is a civic society established in 1984G.C with a single chair, table and a donation of 800 typing papers. TYA is re-registered and licensed by the Agency as an Ethiopian Society in accordance with the Charities and Societies Proclamation No. 621/2009 and issued the certificate bearing the number 2117 on March 23 2/017 and re-registered on March 23, 2017 valid until March 24 , 2020.
Currently it has more than 400,000 members (30 % girls and 70 % boys), 140 highly motivated and dedicated working paid staffs, working with more than 3 local and international partners. Besides, it has relatively well equipped seven zone (7) six zone capital, one special zone at Addis Abeba and regional office in Tigray .Besides, has its own a G+1 building office at Mekelle, G+2 youth center at Shire and G+ 3 at Alamata town construction .Moreover, TYA has 15 ICT centers and 5 youth centers in the region managed by TYA, more than 23 motor cycles and 3 vehicles. At present TYA able to manage more than 14 million birr current capital per year on average .It has its own financial and administrative systems to manage resources.
